This picture was drawn by Sebastian Ward, aged 7. Sebastian has been a very brave boy since he broke his leg last Sunday.
And so has his mum, I’m sure many of you can share the feelings of being in the A &E waiting room at some ungodly time of day, trying to comfort a child in pain, wishing desperately you could make it go away, or take it on yourself.
My own personal hospital hell involved reading “Thumbelina” what felt like a hundred times while waiting for the X-ray results, and having to take a jumper off a broken arm.
Then there’s the ordeal of entertaining an active child who must remain more or less immobile for a month or so.
We, of course are the lucky ones, we knew what was wrong with our kids, and Sebastian is lucky too because he has his family and friends around and he’ll get better very soon, even though it doesn’t feel like that at the moment.
Anyway, my special treat for Seb was to publish his fantastic picture in the internet, so people from all over the whole world can see it.
I'm sure you've all recognised the picture as George's grandma from "George's marvelous medicine, and if you’d like to leave loads of comments mentioning where you’re from he’ll see how famous his picture has become.
