She Said What?!

She Said What?!

I made the huge mistake of continuing to socialize with a particular individual who doesn’t do anything but complain about her life. And now she is taking her negative attitude out on me. It’s getting to the point where she has the nerve to question as to why someone else is getting blessed, saying things like, “There are people that I know don’t deserve to get blessed but yet God is blessing them anyway. Where are MY blessings?”

I was floored by her comment because in all honesty, who are we to say whether someone deserves to get blessed or not? We don’t have the right to act as if God needs to ask our permission on whether someone should receive a blessing. God is God and He will bless whomever he wants and He doesn’t need to explain Himself to nobody. If we were to be honest with ourselves, NONE of us deserves to get blessed. It is because of God’s grace and mercy that He blesses us anyway, even when we don’t deserve it.

So when we decide that we wanna have an attitude about someone else receiving their blessings, we become ungrateful and this holds up the process of us receiving our own blessings. When we get to a point where we start to become ungrateful and forget all of the blessings that we’ve already received from God, we start to lack in all things and become spoiled brats.

Let me be real: Once we get into the habit of thanking God for what He has blessed us with thus far, amazing things will start to happen for us that will be much more than what we’ve asked for. Otherwise, He may just put you in a position where you have to humble yourself.

So I said to the individual, “You’re complaining but honestly, things could be a lot worse.” But of course, I forgot who I was talking to; this is the same person that is CONSTANTLY making the same bad decisions and she can’t seem to understand that her decisions is the reason why she is in a huge hole. The minute that she get some money, it goes thru her hands like water and she spends it on nothing but junk. They want everything RIGHT THEN instead of waiting patiently for it.

When you’re constantly in complaint mode, you completely miss the mark on what it is that God is trying to show you. I’m not perfect and I’ve made a lot of mistakes. But one thing is for sure; I’m not gonna blame someone else for the mistakes that I’ve made when God has given me the right to make my own choices. And to be honest with you, we can’t expect to have a different outcome on our circumstances if we’re still making the same mistakes. That means that we haven’t learned a damn thing. If you’re not willing to make some sacrifices, how in the hell do you expect for things to get better?

Learn to stay outta ‘Jealousy Land’. You don’t know what kind of hell that a person had to go thru in order for them to receive the blessings that they have received. You have no idea what they had to sacrifice, how many times that they had to pray, and how many times they’ve cried during their dark days. All you see is the finished product but you don’t see the struggle.

Side Note: If you’re not willing to go thru the process and make some changes along the way, you will always be complaining, you will always be in lack, and your life will remain stagnant. RESPECT THE STRUGGLE and understand that you will be on your way to receiving your blessings just as long as you change your attitude and quit thinking that God owes you something.

As this individual was complaining her tail off, I tried to give them some positive and encouraging words but every time I came up with reasons as to why they should be positive, I was immediately shut down with their negative words. So I went ahead and shut the hell up and went on my way.

I knew this individual long enough to know that not only is she a control freak but she thinks that she’s always right. She’s always been the type of person to believe that she knows EVERYTHING. Ms. Know-It-All, in the flesh. But of course, if she knew everything, she wouldn’t be going thru the hell that she’s going thru. Don’t get me wrong; we all make mistakes and while we’re on this earth, we will continue to do so. But we must learn that in order to overcome our mistakes, we have to kick negativity to the curb and accept responsibility for our own actions. Period.
