The Facts of Life, #1179

Posted on the 06 May 2015 by Juliezaz1 @juliezaz1

I had a sick day yesterday, and I was feeling pretty miserable.  I’m much better today, thank goodness, and am actually feeling really well rested.  I didn’t even sleep yesterday, but I spent a lot of time sitting, which is something I’m not used to, and hours in front of the TV is something that’s pretty much unheard of.  As a mother of two with a full time job and working on a master’s degree, TV is really a thing of my past.

Of course, being sick can really knock you on your rear, so TV time it was.  That’s when I discovered “The Facts of Life” marathon on the LOGO channel.  I didn’t even know there was such a thing as the LOGO channel, but whatever, it got me through a sick day.  Now that I looked it up, I have discovered that the LOGO channel is a family channel that focuses primarily on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people.  I’m not really sure what is gay about “The Facts of Life,” but how cool that there is programming on TV for everyone.  I guess I have been away from TV for awhile, but I am happy that there is a channel for this group of people.  They need this channel just as African Americans need BET, and Jews need Shalom TV.  I am so glad that people can tune in and see other people just like them at any hour of the day.  We all need that, so yay for the LOGO channel! It seems like a good idea to me.

Today I’m thanking LOGO for putting the “Facts of Life” marathon into their lineup.  What a good way to spend a sick day!
