The Internship Review.

Hey guys,
This film actually isn't going to be released until the 3rd July 2013 in the UK but luckily for me I snapped up a preview show. Where do I start with this film? Looking at IMDB the film secured a somewhat "safe" 6.4 although when the show is released to a UK audience this score might improve.
The film stars comedic genius' Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson (who play Nick and Billy) and centres around them taking an internship  at Google. This is the simple plot line, and looks at them taking up a series of tasks with members of their group to secure the job at google. Naturally, they have to have "the bad guy" he comes in the form of a sophisticated, guy named Stuart... I think. It doesn't make it clear but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention! From a student perspective I think this is a fun, fresh, new concept and... I enjoyed it! There is something very uplifting in this movie. I've always wanted to know what Google looks like and this film revealed it. I love the characters; especially Lyle the teams "mentor" and I liked the connection the team had. It worked! It really worked and I think that's what I enjoyed about it.
It was a film I wanted to see and thought I'd enjoy, I wasn't let down by it! I really wasn't. The script kept going and wasn't slow in any areas, you were constantly fixed on the movie and the humor only boosted it.
However; some areas I was let down by. For example how we never really see who Nick and Billy really are. Sure they are Nick and Billy but I couldn't help but think "yep that's Vince Vaughn" throughout the whole movie and I'm not sure why! I wanted to know more about them and who the were behind the internship! But I did like how they literally knew nothing about technology and think this would tie in nicely with older viewers! It appeals to students because the other end; we know lots about technology! Another thing is I kinda knew what the end result was going to be, and this was an anti-climax when the film ended. But, the film did end with a twist which I really liked! Naturally, I was rooting for the team throughout the whole film and really wanted them to win. I'm sure you can guess the end too and I don't mean that to be a spoiler.
Overall, 8/10 I think that's a fairly good score and I would purchase it on DVD! A good light hearted, witty comedy with a fresh concept.
Love,
TSITR.
