The Maiden in the Dream

Posted on the 19 September 2015 by Heartbaredtoyou121 @naughtytushki

She sat there
gingerly caressing
his flowing locks
and a wounded heart
aiming to calm him
and put him to sleep
but he was tormented
as if his soul was ripped apart
snatched away
only blood flowed inside
the only known function
that distinguished him from dead
mind was boggled, trampled over
disparaged with commotion around it
heart was too tired to respond
his mental faculties shut down
sent him to a deep sleep
She was there when he slept
he wokeup soonafter
alarmed,
his eyes ran in every direction
no sign of her
a silver anklet was left on the ground
in the wet grass
closer to where his head lay, minutes before
it was covered in mud
he didn’t clean it
the mud was still fresh
and it smelled of her feet
it was a memorable treasure
unique and inimitable
for it stood for one reason
his dream was alive
She was here
and he expected, that
she would return
to him,
where she belonged..
