The Night I Learned My Indestructible Camera is Really Indestructible

On my 25th birthday, the Boyfriend bought me a camera that claimed to be indestructible.

Yes, he wrapped it in barbie princess wrapping. He can never claim he didn't know what he was getting into.

He had heard my camera horror stories from law school - where vodka or wine tended to end up with a camera+concrete combo. Thankfully, I wisened up after the first one and bought the "accidental damage" protection plan from Best Buy. I made good use of it.
His gift gave him major bonus points for listening, on top of the fact that we'd only been dating for a month and a half.
I've taken the camera on plenty of adventures, including ice fishing, snowmobiling and a night full of wine. It hasn't broken, but it was never subjected to the law school abuse my other camera was. The camera was out a few times to take some pictures, and then it was just too hot to deal with anything except lay in the water and drink powerades.

I slept in that thing. True story.

We got home Sunday night and all seemed fine. In fact, Monday night we were both productivity machines. The Boyfriend cleaned some of the house (shocking!) and the shop, while I cooked, cleaned and did laundry.
I was pretty proud of us as I switched over the first load of sand covered camping clothes.
That is, until I discovered this: The Night I Learned my Indestructible Camera is Really Indestructible That, my friends, is my camera. It is now clean as a whistle, because it spent an hour rocking and rolling around in our washing machine.
I saw it in there and thought, "OMG The Boyfriend is going to kill me!" Until... I turned it on.
And it WORKED!
Not only did it work, immediately after it happened, I plugged it into my computer and uploaded the pictures from camping. The camera, battery and memory card all work perfectly.  It's as if the washer debacle never happened!
So, if you're in the market for an indestructible camera, this may be just what you're looking for! (Plus, the new ones come in pretty colors, if you're a princess like me.)
