The Place Beyond the Dark, Dainty Woods

Posted on the 16 September 2013 by Heartbaredtoyou121 @naughtytushki

On a sleepy October morning
As desire inside me grew
I packed my belongings in hasten
And rushed out of home,
To hence, gather my crew
My heartbeats switched,
From normal to panicky,
And then shot alarmingly,
When I ran in a jiffy

I wanted peace that, that
Hillside had been blessed with
Chirping of birds in the morning
And the crickets clattering in the dark
And the wooshing sound that that wind made
When it passed by trees, swaying and twisting their bark
I wanted to feel the slow bit lovely drizzle
Almost like a small young fire, that doesn’t die, nor looses sizzle
I wanted to touch the flakes of snow
Who when fall, make your heart go slow
Soft as a sponge and as light as a bird’s feather
I wanted to die there, in Serenity
Then to go back, running hither and thither

When i reached the hills
Everything just became slow
Raindrops perching down from the sky
Taking forever to end earth’s thirsty cry
And the wind that blew
Was strong but not steady
Lifted spirits though
But didn’t lift anything heavy

I took a stroll down the hill
Towards the old bazaar, where life grew still
A panorama emerged from nowhere
And I encountered my first winter chill
Under duress I ran for cover
But to my dismay it wasn’t found
I shivered slightly and sighed slightly
It was for my adrenalin to deliver
Though my hands trembled with cold
But my heart was euphoric
Having came back to the happy mould

A horde of natives stood near
Holding themselves against the pyre
That swayed with the wind tirelessly
Like telling it somehow, stay clear !
I gathered my lethargic breathe
And turn around to a dark road, uphill
Icy wind striking bows in my face
And my body fighting with itself
Fighting to stand still

I imagined !
I regained !
I wondered !
Why not stay ?
Why live like a nomad, astray ?

I was in a paradise
That I always longed for
But to make matters worse
My hopes were ready to shatter
I couldn’t stay for long
My desire didn’t matter
Hoped ! I did only for the better

Rain, Snow, Wind
And the rocky trail
All worked up
To make some sense prevail
And the peace that was
I just couldn’t less that pass

I picked up my steps
And moved along that rocky trail
Taking me closer to the nature
Where the incessant whirring stops
And beyond those woods, happiness prevails
I kick up dust and it catches onto me
I couldn’t but be amazed
Where else on earth, I could really be
I wait for the storm
To come and get me
Get me ! He doesn’t
It’s hard being really me

I lift my head and thus gather
How far have I come ?
How deep these woods were ?
How empty life sometimes become ?
How less people care ?
How is it like to not be there ?

And there I stood
Lost and amazed
I fleered and burst out laughing, in
The Place beyond the dark, dainty woods..
