As little girls, we all dream of being a beautiful princess.
With our favorite Disney movies are on repeat, we observe the every move of Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle in attempt to be the perfect princess.
We twirl our skirts, dream of the biggest castle, and wait for the day our prince comes to rescue us.
And then we grow up.
Our prince never comes, and we’re left to realize just how cruel falling in love can be. And yet, we still hold onto hope. He has to be out there…Somewhere…
We’re rejected, criticized, and taken advantage of. We’re heartbroken, taunted, and haunted by the guys we convince ourselves are the “One”.
And we start to believe that true love may not exist, after all. “Will anyone ever love me? Fight for me? Call me beautiful?”
What we often fail to realize is that God has already given us the perfect example of a Prince. Jesus loves you, fought for you, and calls you beautiful. You just need to recognize His voice.
The same God who loves you enough to die in your place certainly has the best in store for you. If He cares about the number of hairs on your head and wrinkles in your palm, certainly He even cares about giving you His best.
God has His best in store for you. He is preparing their heart for you, just as He is preparing your heart for him.
Don’t give up hope, don’t settle, don’t lose faith.
