There's Always A First Time: Wai ying FastfoodWai ying Fastfood

Location
  • In the heart of Binondo, along Benavidez Street
  • Drop by in the evening to avoid the crowd and the traffic
  • Many nearby parking lots which costs around Php40-50; some will require you to leave your car keys
  • Nearby restaurants (President's, Mr. Ube, etc.) and bakeries (Eng Bee Tin, Baker's Fair, etc.) and vegetable carts where you can buy broccoli, corn, tomatoes, etc.

Establishment
  • Can't recall any huge signage in front; just ask around so you wouldn't get lost
  • Just like the usual small Chinese restaurants, the kitchen is right beside the door where you would see hanging Peking duck, pork, siopao and various dimsum
  • If I remember it well, the walls were painted in blue
  • Since the place is always full, ask the waiter to find you a table. I prefer the 2nd floor since it is much cooler, there are few waiters and customers walking around and you wouldn't smell of food
Food
  • Delicious and cheap!
  • If you are new to this place, better ask the waiter of their best sellers; I prefer a la carte rather than the set meals
  • Try their dimsum
  • Too bad they don't have stir-fried noodles
Service
  • Expect your food served in just a few minutes
  • Waiters are polite, prompt and attentive
Price
  • Affordable
  • Generally, the price is proportional to the food serving and the ambiance of the place
  • Taste and quality weren't compromised
Others
  • I didn't check the wash room so I can't say anything about it
  • Don't expect fancy furniture and utensils
  • It isn't filthy nor dirty
  • They typically serve hot tea
  • You may ask for spoon and fork placed in a glass with hot water
  • The crowd is mostly Filipino-Chinese, though there are also a few Filipinos
Summary
  • I would surely come back!
