There’s So Much More...

It’s cold outside,
Dark and dingy,
I rather not step out,
I feel safe at home.
And yet when I look out,
I can see the smoke,
From the chimney top,
1, 2, 3 there's so much more.
And in the distance,
The dogs bark,
Howling and shouting,
1, 2, 3 there's so much more.
An airplane in the sky,
A train honking away in glory,
A sudden brake from a speeding car,
1, 2, 3 there's so much more.
Little lights, open and closed,
Each house has a story,
To tell,
1, 2, 3 there's so much more.
It’s staring to turn cold inside,
Too bright and quite,
I may soon take a walk outside,
I think it’s high time.
