Sonica starts her day at 6am…even on the weekends. As an writer, I don’t have time to lay in the bed unless I’m sick with the flu or I have menstrual cramps. I am a firm believer that if you are really serious about pursuing your dreams and seeing them come true, you have to put good sleep on hold for a while. If you don’t, you’ll miss out on a lot of time that you could’ve used towards building your brand. While you’re sleeping you whole day away, someone else is working on their craft and getting higher in life. So for all you writers/bloggers/authors out there in the world, my motto for you today is: FUCK SLEEP. WRITE HARD.
When I woke up this morning, I immediately came up with an idea to help all writers get their work exposed. Although, I want to be one of the best-selling authors that this world has ever known, I still wanna help others by shining a light on what it is that they write about. Even with me being at the “grass roots” level right now, I still wanna support the work of others because they work just as hard as me. So here’s what I thought about doing:
Every day, I will make it my duty to showcase other bloggers/writers by reblogging ONE post that I will consider my favorite post for that day and I will titled it, “Most Influential” blog posting of the day. Although my blog is very new and has only been up and running for about 36 days, I still was able to get 83 people (thus far) to follow my blog, which is freakin’ awesome. Those 83 folks are still very important readers and bloggers and I would love to expose your work to them. Whether it’s a small audience or a large audience, they are still an audience.
So today, I will start the task of selecting which blog posting that I favor for today. This is my way of saying THANK YOU to all the writers/bloggers/commentators that enjoy what they do while still building their audience and making their dreams come true. God bless you all and keep working hard.
