Tips on Writing Poetry

Posted on the 31 July 2012 by Brittany_tyd @Brittany_TYD
Hello all you lovely Three Years Down readers! I'm Baylee from the day i stopped making cents. I blog about life, love, animals and poetry.

I've been following Brittany's blog for a while now and it's one of my daily reads! I know you love her just as much as I do!!  Today I'm here to share my secret writing tips (they aren't so secret) and a poem I've written. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did sharing it. First my personal tips for writing poetry: 1. Write from the heart 2. Get your point across in as few words as possible 3. Have a glass of wine first
The poem I'm sharing with you today is a poem I wrote for my fiance Joe. Us: Tips on Writing Poetry Joe's Poem by Baylee Benson I love you with the strength of the universe imploding upon itself
I love you with every molecule in my being
I love every atom of you
I love you young
I love you old
I love you through every emotion
And through every song I hear
Through every word that has ever been written
I love the world, or universe, or God, and mother that made you
I love what you are not
And what you are
I see you in every thing I have ever done
I see you in every thing I do
The word "love" never even made sense, until there was you.

There you have it! I am a huge romantic sap.. but I hope you liked it!
Thank you Brittany for having me!!!!

I feel so honored to be able to share some of Baylee's poems with you guys! Baylee's blog shows what a sweet, creative person she is!
