It is one of my most favorite days of the year! Tonight is night we’ll be carving pumpkins in my house. It’s not that I’m the best carver, but I do really love doing it and especially roasting the seeds. The best part is that my kids equally love this special evening, and I know it’s going to be a happy night ahead!
So today, for this blog, I thought I’d take a walk down our “Pumpkin Hall of Fame.” These are our very best pumpkins from year’s past.
We’re from Tucson. We had to have a cowboy hat pumpkin!
I really loved the year the kids wanted the Angry Birds pumpkin.
This was one cool cat!
We have a really beautiful pomegranate tree just outside the door that leads to our back yard. Part of our tradition is putting the pumpkins under the tree when we’re finished, so we can watch them for the next couple of hours all lit up!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post to see our 2014 Halloween pumpkins. We can’t wait!
I chose a song from the Smashing Pumpkins for this post, because it was just too apropos. “Today is the Greatest” fits the bill, because carving pumpkins really does make it the greatest in our household!
