(A PERSONALIZED LOVE POEM dedicated by Rupa to her husband Krishna)
I have always known this guy,
A little older than me,
But he was handsome,
And had a God-like personality.
Slowly, I got to know him better,
He was trustworthy and caring,
His tolerant nature and other qualities,
Had a charm on me.
We dated for some time,
Often fighting the many devils inside,
But through it all,
We stood together tall.
I knew I wanted to marry only him,
There were things and circumstance against us,
But then we overcame it all,
It’s been years and years of togetherness now.
When our students look at us,
Singing praises of the perfect pair we make,
Our daughter, our institution,
Are our love and pride.
I don’t know if I tell this to you enough,
But you are the one that brings out,
The best in me,
You complete me.
