Oohhh…..I love 90’s television shows! I just read this morning that Kyle Maclachlan is set to reprise his role as Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks in 2016! They’re calling it a Twin Peaks “Reboot” – whatever in the heck that means. CLICK HERE to read the article on CNN.
I liked Twin Peaks back in the day, but really, if I could have my choice of 90’s “rebooting,” it would be for Northern Exposure, Friends, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, Beverly Hills 90210, Felicity, My So Called Life, Murphy Brown, Melrose Place or Ally McBeal. There were so many good shows to choose from.
Maybe it’s because I am a mother with two children now, or perhaps it’s because television has changed over the years, but I haven’t enjoyed a night of good TV watching like those days in the 90’s in a lot of years. Are there really even good sitcoms on anymore? What happened to them all?
So, welcome back Dale Cooper and the rest of the Twin Peaks gang. It’ll be nice to see some old friends.
My song of the day is the Twin Peaks theme song, which I could never understand the popularity for. It’s really a boring song, but here you go anyway. Enjoy the nostalgia, y’all!
