Van Gogh's sunflower pencil,
folded yellow petals
danced upon her stark white page
folded dreams
of cut origami snowflakes
that melted upon the
starry, starry night.
Evangeline held her pencil
and remembered
she had left her invisible glove
upon her scented bed.
She had wanted to express
it in her image.
To her left
De Vinci's glass of water
stirred
while the girl looked through it.
It was mirroring an image
of her life
that was drawn out
like a brightly glowing
yellow flower that endured
her yellow dreams
and clear blue skies.
Evangeline thought
of sunflowers glowing
like the sun.

This is a poem that I must have written a long time ago and I went back in and rewrote it.
This will be short and sweet for now. I think I need to find some blog prompts for later.
