Today marks the first official day of Spring Break for my children. Ahhhhhh……Spring Break! Those words conjure up memories of trips to Florida to visit my Grandma and Grandpa when I was their age. Oh, how I looked forward to that magical week.
We traditionally do not travel during this week with our kids, because my husband, being a camp director, is always running a Spring camp. Instead, my children spend their Spring Break week on field trips…the trampoline park, the zoo, miniature golf, bowling, hiking.
Regardless, it is a carefree week of no homework, no need to make lunches (They’re included on the field trips!!!!) and less stress to get out of the house exactly on time. The kids may think this Spring Break is for them….but I kindly disagree. Spring Break is for Mamas, too!
So, my song of the day is the best one I could think of. ”Viva La Vida” by Coldplay really has me thinking about “living the life” this week. It’s amazing what simple pleasures can be such a relief. So, enjoy the song as I am giving a big hip hip hooray for Spring Break!!!
