It helps to have friends who appreciate being wacky. Creative friends normally are the right choice - like Coryn here, playing along with my silliness. Sometimes the boldest thing to do is just be completely out there: you know, crazy and over-the-top wacky. This takes people by surprise, knocks them off their feet a little.

This is one of the ways my experience with acting and my experience with writing overlap. Wackiness done well, from a pure space works very well. For whatever reason I was reminded of the expression on Daphne Zuniga's face when John Cusack makes a rather wacky choice in the 1985 (little known) classic, The Sure Thing. Watch the scene but be sure to watch for that glimmer of "What on Earth will he do next?" on Daphne Zuniga's face....

Quotes:

"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child."   Dr. Seuss

"Usually the wacky people have the breakthroughs. The 'smart' people don't.Burt Rutan
