Every morning I wake up my kids for school. They are not so easy to get out of bed. Usually I entice them with breakfast and a cool wash cloth on their eyes. My husband, apparently, has a different method.
Yesterday, I did my usual, “Good morning! Time to get up!” Everyone had congregated in my daughter’s room. All seemed like it was going smoothly, so I walked out for a moment.
Suddenly, I heard loud music bouncing through the house and walked back in to find my husband sitting at my daughter’s computer, my son jumping up and down on the bed, and my daughter giggling with a huge smile plastered on her face. All of this was set to Wham’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.”
“You’re listening to Wham?” I asked. My husband sheepishly grinned, “This is what I got when I Googled “wake up” music.” He didn’t realize it, but he gave me a song of the day. My kids were completely enamored with the song, too.
