Welcome 2014

It's incredible that in some people's mind, 2014 would never exist, That it was termed as, "the future" which, I mean-it is. Here we are, six days into "the future" how does it feel?

You might be asking, "Hey, maybe this author (that I never talk too, or even acknowledge, which is okay) has some New Year's resolutions. You'd be wrong.
I've tried at these New year's resolutions, and it always ends up with me, third week in January, utterly caving and feeling sups depressed. which does not benefit the average persons morale. (aka not recommended).
Instead I've been reading. Lot's of good and important reading, not involving werewolves, magic, vampires or soap opera drama. Quite the opposite, I've been reading some really intellectual books that have given me great use of the dictionary app on my iPod that I got for Christmas.
Some of those would be:
  • "Saving Leonardo" (which you heard about) by Nancy Pearcey
  • "The rise of Theodore Roosevelt" (working on that one right now).
Now, I'm an avid reader, but that first book was a huge challenge and I totally lost my flow halfway through and kinda skimmed to the end. So I'm not the best person to ask for a 100-page essay on her theories, although I was undoubtedly impressed.

Welcome 2014

I know, I know, he's quite fetching. This is him as a teen. :)

The book I'm working on right now, "The rise of Theodore Roosevelt" (TRTR) has me floored. If someone was to ask, "Who would you visit if you could travel to anytime in history, or meet or whatever?" I would answer, "Theodore Roosevelt." This book is basically on incredibly long and detailed biography of a man whose reputation preceded him everywhere, including the House of Representatives, when he showed up over-dressed. Theodore Roosevelt has become, in my mind, someone of the uttermost intelligence and of thorough education. He understood the importance of being both physically and mentally healthy. He read and read and read some more, while excising to incredible lengths as to aid his poor lungs. (He was an asthmatic and a regular victim of Cholera Malbus (sp?) ) Anyways, New year's resolutions that I didn't make: Mostly I've already made my resolution, about 83-84 days ago, :) You got it! This girl is officially doing swell, defying the odds society has placed against her, and succumbing to the greatness of a God who wants what is best for her. Alrighty dears, I have a Lab Rats episode to watch on my day off of school thanks to unholy temperatures outside-tata for now! Godbless LizB
