Just recently I took a class in writing for online engagement. As part of the course it suggested taking a look at the online writing site Wattpad. I am in awe of the fact that I never knew this place existed! It is amazing, a place full of millions of writers and readers, both amateur and professional.
I have already started what they call 'serial stories' three of them, it brings us back to a time where writers would release their stories, or novels in chapter releases in magazines and newspapers. Readers would have to wait until the next week, or month to find out what happened to their favorite characters.
I have received great support for my three stories so far. Granite Heights: my YA mystery/thriller. Family Buisiness: a re-visited and edited look at the Dalton short story series and Blood Thirsty: A vampire tale.
In two weeks Granite Heights jump from ranking 897 on the Mystery/Thriller list to 404! and hopefully still climbing. The comments and votes have been both helpful and supportive. Check out Wattpad if you're a reader, there is so much creative and undiscovered talent here!
