Part 2
Well i was inspired to do Part 2 of the Bible inspired blog i did in the earlier months and i hope it will be a blessing. Go to Part 1
In part one, i defined what earthly treasures are and how people of the 21st century are focused on the pursuit of happiness through wealth and materialistic things. But today i want to introduce you to a different kind of wealth. The type that is everlasting, comes with abundant joy...and best of all you dont have to work for years and years to store up this kind of wealth! Sounds too good to be true? well guess what...It totally is true, all of it!!The real treasure is found in Jesus Christ the son of God who created you and me. NO amount of earthly treasures can ever compare to what Jesus has in store for us! Think about it.....When we die (haha ok maybe too vivid...really though) we do not take the cars and houses and cloths to the grave! Our bodies simply turn to dust and all the "stuff" remains on earth. Now when we store up our treasures on earth, we perish with the treasures on earth, but when we store our treasure with Jesus in heaven, we die and earthly death, but are risen to heaven by Jesus to an eternal joy filled life!!!
Where did i see this? - Bible inspired
" Earthly food spoils and ruins. So don't work to get that kind of food. But work to get food that stays good always and gives you eternal life. The son of man will give you that food"John 6:27
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matt. 6:19-21
How do we lay treasures in heaven?
This is the most amazing part!! you dont have to study and get a PHD, work for years and years. You dont have to be perfect. Everyone, and i mean EVERYONE can store up treasures in heaven! Even the darkest of hearts- murderers, rapists the list goes on.All you have to do is, believe with a sincere heart, that Jesus is the son of God and accept him as your lord and savior. Then in other to begin a new life with Jesus, you confess and aknowledge your sins and flaws. Jesus knows no one is perfect. But he loves us all the same, thats why he died for us on the cross and wiped away all sin!!!
So once you confess your sins to him, you are forgiven and its like you have a brand new slate! He gives us many chances to turn from sin. Awesome hey?The bible is important because it helps to guide us when we go astray from Jesus. So when we live our lives in line with what the bible says, we will always be in line with Jesus too asThe bible is the word of God.
This is how we store up treasures in heaven- Just by believing, living in the love of Jesus and staying on a Godly path
