While I was suppose to be doing my math and English I watched a documentary on the Himalayas instead. Lots of the smell for perfumes is based on the stink of the Musk deer. The people in the Himalayas say it smells like 'heaven' and cover their temples with it. 10% of all people that try to climb Mount Everest die and many more are injured. When someone dies in the Himalayas they sometimes bring the body up a mountain to be eaten by vultures. This is called a sky burial. A priest cuts the body into small pieces and then places it on top of a mountain, exposing it ritually. Sky burial was also common in some American Indian cultures. Two other movies I watched recently were Contagion and The Help. One was about the scary maybe future the other about the scary past. Warning, the trailers are spoilers!
Apparently it's really easy for germs to quickly spread around the world now because people travel in planes and don't just stay in their towns anymore. The movie also said that the average person touches their face about 3000-5000 times a day. The Help was about racism and slavery in the US in the fifties. They were good movies.
My noise cancelling headphones really are great. The other day I was vacuuming my room and I could only faintly hear air blowing around while I had them on. I like the radio app on my ipod. Right now the head phones are kind of like a delicacy and I'm very careful with them. I'm sure one day it won't be like that and they'll just always be on my head.
The dogs really like the Medi-cal Dental food. You don't even have to put meat on it, they just eat it.
Yesterday was the second last gymnastics day so there were less people. I was starving when I got home so I made myself a smoothie. It was really good. I put in one orange, one banana, one kiwi, frozen mixed berries, yogurt, honey and splash of water then magic bulleted it. Yum.
After that I tried to do more math but drew a Christmas tree. I finally did finish at 10:30pm, thought about having a shower but just went to bed smelly.
Today I went riding and later I'm going to watch my sister sing in the choir.
