WIAW 7 Day Slim Down & Bars

After a great Memorial Day weekend I am focusing on my eats and trying to get back on track with my diet and exercise. To help facilitate this I am following the Tone It Up 7 Day Slim Down plan. Yesterday was my first day and I did a pretty good job sticking to it. And since it is Wednesday I thought I would give you a peek into my slim down, clean up eats for WIAW!

I am on vacation this week before I start my new job! I slept in until 9am this morning and then Vinnie and I went for a nice 40 minute walk around our neighborhood.

When we got back I made a egg white scramble with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes.

I spent quite a bit of time on the couch watching TV. Friends is one of my all-time favorite shows! I snacked on a pear while watching Ross be super dorky, per usual.

I had another snack later in the day which is now my new favorite protein bar. The Think Thin Creamy Peanut Butter bar is so delicious. I was very please with this Think Thin bar because I have tried other ones that taste kind of chalky and artifical, but this one was far from that. It tastes just like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Once I finished eating it, all I wanted was another one! I am going to have to go stock up on these healthy treats!

Think Thin Creamy Peanut Butter

I am starting to find some of my favorite healthy protein bars. Clearly, this Think Thin bar is on the top of my list. My two other other favorites are the Peanut Honey Pretzel Luna Bar and the Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar. Obviously I really Peanut Butter! But in all seriousness, if you ever have to grab a quick healthy snack on the go, these bars are really good!

For dinner I had mustard soy glazed tilapia on top of a big green salad full of veggies.

The glaze is super easy to make.

Mix together:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp spicy mustard

Spread on top of fish. Sauté the fish in olive oil for about 5 minutes (or until cooked through).

This dish is really light, flavorful and super easy.

My workout for the day was an easy 60 minutes on the elliptical. I did not push myself, but I did work up a sweat. I watched an episode of Grey. I am still catching up on this season, and am super nervous for the finale because I have heard some crazy, scary things. oyy-vahhh.  

I will leave you with this Funny or Die video of Tom Brady. I am a huge Boston sports fan, especially the Patriots so I have a serious crush on Tom…. and his wife, Gisele! Could they be any hotter! I actually just heard they are the highest paid couple in Hollywood! Talk about a power couple. Jay-Z and Beyonce aren’t far behind.
