I walk towards our usual place,The sun is on its way home,
I can see you waiting by the bench,
Anticipating my arrival.
We each had different backgrounds,
Way to different for us to meet,
And yet you came into my life,
Like a heart beat in a symphony.
Nothing made sense,
And yet we were meant to be,
Over the years we each have grown,
Into individuals so unique.
And yet we continue to evolve together,
Inspiring each other to be better,
You and me, bring out the best in each other,
As individuals and as a couple.
And to think of it,
I still can't believe it all started,
When I laughed when you asked me,
Will you meet me by sunset?
