Winter Vase Arrangement

It's been very windy in the past days in Montagnat. The weather's been a bummer lately, too. But considering it's winter time, it's quite refreshing to get intermittent (manaka-nakang tag-araw!) sunny days, enough to get us through the more steady gloomy, cold winter days. 
On one hand, lots of tree branches had fallen off the ground, reason enough for us to go to the woodlands and pick up some woods. To your left is the result of this random wood-picking rendezvous. I just took some pebbly earth from meme's backyard, adjusted the branches and put them inside the vase. I used this same vase for the Christmas decor. I tried putting some glitters on the glass but it didn't come out obvious. I'm thinking sinamay (abaka) would not look too bad wrapped around the mouth of the vase but I don't know where to get them here.
Go and give this DIY decor a try! It costs nothing, it's environment-friendly, it's a pretty livingroom accent, and it's so easy to do. Whatelse could you ask for? (Other than this and world peace...) Ciao!
