We’re going on Day#3 of my daughter being away at camp, and of course, I haven’t stopped thinking about her. The camp posts daily photos on their website, and already, I am searching in every photo for a glimpse of her. This morning, I found the best possible picture I could have hoped for. Here it is:
My daughter has a friend! I am sure she has many, but just look at this photo. My daughter and this sweet little girl that I know nothing about appear to already be close. This makes a Mama’s heart soar! This picture tells me she is adapting and is getting along well. She’s okay, and I’m breathing a little easier this morning.
It’s funny…I received a Facebook message from the camp song leader & the camp director. Their words were reassuring and kind, but nothing touches me like this photo. A picture truly says a thousand words, and these are really good words.
My song of the day is one about friendship. The Beatle’s lyrics, “I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends” is really resonating with me this morning, because I know that friendship is what’s going to make everything okay.
