So I'm going super cliche on this but it's true.. It's really not the holidays without family. Since we move around a lot for his career we don't always get to go home for the holidays. None of the places we have lived have been close to going back home. I love that my mom says NOT to come home for the holidays. (My parents live in Michigan.) She says to come visit in the spring or summer when we can actually go out and do things. (I love her for this.) One tradition that we have recently started is facetiming our families on Christmas. I wish we could go home more often but airlines like to jack prices up for the holidays so the next best thing is video chat. I would post pictures of all my lovely family but they didn't sign up for this blog so no pictures of them.
