Here we are outside the Grace Gates at Lord's cricket ground the home of the game of cricket.
Octagonal in shape this is a real solid brilliant white chunky sturdy stone bollard sitting in front of the gates. The body of the bollard tapers towards the top where an edge is created and the traditional domed top appears. Upon the top we can see a brass/metal piece which may allow a pole or a rope to be placed upon it.
Lord's Cricket ground is on St John's Wood Road and considering it's St George's day if you do get a chance to visit the ground please do take a walk towards Regent's Park where you may notice at the junction of Park Road and St John's Wood Road a beautiful statue/monument of St George slaying the Dragon. The statue/monument is dedicated to those who fought in the two world wars of the last century.
Happy St George's day from Bollards of London...
