A Teacher Who Made Me A Cheater Of My Life – Poetry

Posted on the 11 September 2016 by Jaideep Khanduja @PebbleInWaters

A teacher who made me a cheater

of my life.

Never cheat others

He teaches me every day.

Every day when I

come in front of a mirror,

he is there,

smiling as usual.

And the spark in his eyes

is a steep, dense ray

penetrating my eyes,

body, mind, and soul.

A teacher who made me a cheater

of my life.

Come forward

and bow your head in

front of me with

full respect.

Because I am the power.

I am your teacher.

In fact,I promise to keep

I promise to keep

you imperfect

and incomplete

throughout your life.

Because that will

keep forcing you to

learn. Else you will also

become a dumb yard.

Then you will not need

me anymore.

But  that will waste

all my efforts.

A teacher who made me a cheater

of my life.

Never cheat others

ever in your life.

He reminds me.

His voice coming

through the chants

of Buddha temple.

Like the echo of my

own soul

coming from the top

of the hill.

Cheat, but

yourself only.

Nobody else, including

me and your mirror.

And cheat yourself

every moment of life without

fail.

Always compete,

but with yourself.

Cheat yourself to an extent

not to entertain any

excuse,

Neither to

weaken you

any moment.

A teacher who made me a cheater

of my life.

A teacher who made me a cheater

You will never need

to meet me.

Because I am in you.

In fact,

I am part of your soul.

So, we will not be

separate ever.

Unless you die, or

I decide.

Therefore, never

crave to meet me

again.

Remember my lesson,

the only one,

powerful enough

to keep you

on your toes.

And to keep you

alive.

A teacher who made me a cheater

of my life.
