Do not worry about tomorrow, For tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. — Matthew 6:34
It was sunny and humid and the world stood still. The day was purposefully designed to be laid back, Hence, allotting time for rest and relaxation.
But my mind took off and wandered somewhere else. And as if it had its own built-in time machine, It wandered to the days that are yet to happen, Frantically skimming from one day to another, Imagining the possible scenarios which rattled me more.
My present was abandoned and left to suffer on its own… Every second, every minute, every precious moment – I let them all slip away…
And my day has gone to waste.
I got too busy living for tomorrow… But how can one possibly live on a day that has not yet arrived? How could I have focused more on the what if’s, Instead of what is?
Be anxious for nothing, But in everything by prayer and supplication, With thanksgiving, Let your requests be made known to God. — Philippians 4:6
His Words were overpowered by the screams of my worry. And I need to pay more attention…
Focus…
So that His Voice may get through my ears, And penetrate my heart…
Everyday single day.
