As I mentioned yesterday, the big test for me was how apps such as World of Goo and Where's my Water which I am used to playing on my iPad would preform. For those who are not familiar with World of Goo it is a highly addictive, physics construction based game in which you have to gather and rescue Goo Balls. It builds logical thinking and reasoning and with each level the tasks get harder and harder. The graphics on the Kurio are excellent and as it is a highly interactive game it it certainly puts the touch screen to the test which I am glad to say the Kurio lives up to being responsive and reactive.

Where's my Water by Disney is another physics based puzzle game featuring Swampy and Cranky two alligators. With bright colourful graphics and fun yet challenging puzzles it is a game the whole family will love.

I had always thought Where's my Water would be too hard for Ben to play but this is definitely not the case. He was delighted when he discovered it on the Kurio and absolutely loves Swampy the alligator. Although he needs some help figuring out the harder levels he is making really great attempts at solving the puzzles and I have to say he has impressed me with his playing.

Other apps which Ben has been enjoying include Cookies Puzzle, World Cup Soccer and Magic Designer which all feature Star Fox, a cute little fox. In Cookie Puzzle you have to help Star Fox move the cookies about to clear a path to the exit. The graphics are bright and fun which will appeal to little ones. The puzzles get harder as you progress through levels which keep it challenging and fun for kids while helping to develop the logical thinking skills.

World Cup Soccer is great for little football fans who will enjoy racing against the clock to score as many goals as they can. Again the graphics are kid friendly being bright and colourful while the game is challenging and tests the players reaction skills.World Cup Soccer
Magic Designer is a big hit with Ben who loves racing against the clock to put the pieces of the puzzle back together and build the fun shaped houses. This app helps build a child's fine motor skills and logical thinking. It gets harder as you progress through levels which keeps it engaging and challenging.Magic Designer

Overall I could not fault the app experience on the Kurio, the preloaded apps are a great addition and there are some real gems included for you to discover.*Disclaimer: I received a Kurio free of charge but this has in no way biased my opinion.
