Good hospitality includes service while good service doesn’t include hospitality. So, we have a good combination of great food, ambiance, and hospitality at Auro Kitchen and Bar which is in Hauz Khas. In fact, it is at Aurobindo Place DDA Shopping Complex. Strategically, well placed and easily noticeable. It is quite spacious with ample seating both indoor and outdoor. Outdoor is good for smokers while indoor is good for families and non-smokers. The restaurant is on the second floor with no availability of lift. But eventually, you don’t need a lift here because the stairs are quite short and comfortable for any age and weight to climb without a hitch. Being on the second floor also provides it a privilege to be a rooftop restaurant. Choice of music is good and volume is optimum thus staying fine to the ears. In fact, the music doesn’t interfere in your talks.
I have been earlier to Auto Kitchen and Bar for an event. It was outdoor with drinks on the floor. This is a disruption for families wanting to take a table indoor while walking through this area during an event. You will find good numbers of people with drinks and cigarettes. That could cause an irritation. And there is no alternative to it because that is the only way to go indoors. As a matter of fact, rest everything is so good that you will easily forget this glitch in no time. The bar is on the extreme right as you enter. Spacious and comfortable seating creates a good-feel factor. The staff is courteous and attentive. Variety in chairs/sofas provides ample choice to take a table of the comfort of your choice. The place also has long chairs. Another drawback is the restaurant is not wheelchair friendly.
Auro Kitchen and Bar Has Its Own Class and Quality
We had Char Grilled Baby Potatoes, Paneer 65 Slider, The Mushroom Ranikhet, and Truffle Kulcha & Wild Mushroom Seekh Kebab in starters. Each dish has a praiseworthy presentation and preparation. In fact, Baby Potatoes is something unique at Auro Kitchen and Bar. Fresh Kulcha is tempting. My way is to roll the Kebab in Kulcha and enjoy it. The Mushroom Ranikhet is a pizza, in fact, and it is fabulous. Paneer 65 Slider is bigger than a slider and hence doesn’t qualify as a slider in my opinion. Leaving that aside, this is another must-try starter. The Paneer in it is a real treat. Mint & Pomegranate Quinoa Salad is, in fact, the best choice for health/calorie conscious foodies. It is a unique preparation combining three varieties of Quinoa with Feta cheese toppings making it great.
In the main course Mushroom Potato Xacuti, Masala Cottage Cheese, and Lentil & Vegetable Curry are the best of the lot. If you ask me, Yuzu Limeade and Flower Power in Mocktails are good to try at Auro Kitchen and Bar. These are unique and are not available at most of the other places. Rice is of high quality. Malabar Parotta, Appam, and Milk Paratha are good to accompany main course vegetables. All the desserts here are good and unique. No comparison at all. Overall, visit here anytime to have a grand experience.
