Award-Winning Hand Cream: Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme

Posted on the 12 November 2014 by Genzelkisses

At such an early age, I’ve been exposed to household chores despite our family having helpers. I remember assisting my mom in sweeping the floor and cleaning anything my hands can reach at the age of 5 I think (or maybe younger). My boyfriend wonders how come I know how to do a lot of house stuff (plumbing, carpentry, design, etc.), there you go why. This caused my dry very dry hands that I suffer from up to now. I’m also not a fan of wearing gloves while washing the dishes, clothes, or doing activities that require using it. I’m just not comfortable wearing a pair. My solution, I have a stash of hand creams, lotions, hand butters, and all those types of hand moisturizing products! Haha.

So today, I’m so happy to share my current favorite hand cream, the Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme. I got so excited to use it when I knew it’s an award-winning product for Natural Health Magazine Beauty Awards 2013. Awesome!

It’s different from my other hand creams because it’s in a glass jar instead of tubes or bottles. I kinda have a hygiene issue with products in a jar but of course, all you need to do is use it with clean hands so you won’t contaminate the product. It’s also a bit heavy so I just leave the product at home and use it after I shower in the morning and before going to bed. Since it’s in a jar, you can recycle the packaging, which I will once it’s empty, future DIY project coming up!

It’s rich, all natural hand creme but very easy to spread / lather. Just  scrape a generous amount of the creme, rub your palms together and distribute the creme to the rest of your hands. Make sure not to skip sides of your fingers and nails as well. It gets easily absorbed by the skin, which is a plus. Some products like lotions and hand creams, feels just like a thin layer of film on top of the skin when applied, with this hand cream, you can feel it’s totally absorbed by the skin. Despite having a thick consistency, it doesn’t feel greasy nor sticky when used.  You can add more product until you’re satisfied and felt your hands totally moisturized without worrying if it will stick to anything you’ll hold or touch.

What I really love about Burt’s Bees, their products are 100% Natural and not tested on animals. Active ingredients of Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme are sweet almond oil and vitamin E to totally hydrate and shield the skin plus beeswax as skin conditioner. I like the sweet scent and it actually reminds me of my favorite bubble gum in elementary, I think it’s called Bazooka? Haha, children of the 90’s represent! LOL!

Here’s how my hand looks like after application of Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, even the innermost corners of my fingers are hydrated. There’s a bonus on this guys, you can also use it on other dry areas of your body like your elbows, knees, and feet! It’s an all in one product and definitely worth it.

You can buy this from any Beauty Bar Stores nationwide for P650.00 / jar. It’s also available through Beauty Bar Online Shop. Expensive? Hmm yeah at first I thought it is too but I’ve been using this for more than two months now and the jar is still 80% full. A little goes a long way with this product, it’s worth every penny, I promise!
