Baby Bear Multi-Activity Playgym Review

Recently the twins received a special delivery in the post, the Little Bear Multi Activity Playgym from Little Bird Told Me. It is such a lovely playgym, multi-textured and in the shape of a cute bear, while being soft and cushioned that it is no surprise that the twins took to it straight away.

Assembly

It was easy to assemble but do watch for the springy bars when you take them out of the box and un-velcro them as they spring open quite suddenly. There are three detachable, very cute teddy bear toys, each one has a flexible teething ring and a different type of stimulus for your baby including a rattle, squeaky toy and crinkles and can be located and relocated on the arches or hooked on various loops around the playmat or even attached to a cot side, buggy or carseat.

There is also a musical pull down little Birdy Bear toy with mirrors that the twins love which has the added bonus of not requiring batteries. It plays a very pleasant and relaxing little tune that is soothing for babies and hopefully you won't mind listening to again and again.

To assemble you simply velcro the bars to the loops on the playmat, attach the toys to the loops on the bars or the mat itself and the playgym is ready for play. Also included is a a dual purpose bolster pillow which provides a comfortable head rest as well as a chest support for tummy-time activities. I like the fact that the cushion has loops which you can attach the toys to.

The mat itself is the most luxurious, soft and cushioned playmat I have ever seen which makes it the perfect choice if you have hard floors as you can be sure your baby will be safe and comfortable while lying on it. Zoey was so tiny (just over 3lbs when she left SCBU, 5lbs 4oz at her recent weigh in) that while I wanted her to be stimulated from the start, and use toys with her as soon as possible, there has been a need to be a little extra careful with her and this playgym has been the perfect choice to keep her safe and comfortable while stimulating and engaging her.

Putting it to the test

The twins love the playgym and are at the stage where they are reacting and interacting with the hanging toys. The design of the playmat itself, a very cute bear is so sweet and the colours and patterns used are appealing and stimulating for babies. There are different textures and sensory sections to explore including crinkly, jingly and squeaky parts that are fantastic for sensory development and encouraging exploration and extended play.

If you are looking for a playgym for your little one then I definitely recommend checking out the Little Bird Told Me range, the Baby Bear Multi-Activity Playgym definitely gets the thumbs up from us. The Playgym is suitable from birth and the great thing is that is flexible to accommodate your baby's development needs from stage one as a deluxe playgym to stage two as an activity playmat along with having the tummy-time cushion. It is available to purchase online costing £70.
