Cactus League
If you don't already know Spring Training started on Saturday. This is one of you favorite times of the year. This is Christmas day for the hubs. Baseball by far is our favorite sport. I can watch it all from t ball all the way up to the Majors.

One of my favorite parts of living in Arizona is spring training! We have 11 teams in the Valley. I have 5 stadiums that are within 15 miles of the house. My biggest pet peeve is that Spring Training is a lot of afternoon games. I work during the day and can't get away for a game.

Cactus LeagueOne of my favorite ballparks is Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is state of the art stadium. This is where the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies play. This weekend was a series that the Dbacks played the Rockies. It was fun to see both of them play. The only reason I like the Rockies is that I have a friend that works in the front office.

The Dbacks on our hometown team. I don't mind them and I will support them because I live in Arizona. I have 2 FAVORITE players only because I LOVE their wives. First pitcher Brandon McCarthy and the other is outfielder Adam Eaton.

Texas Rangers play in Arizona over in Surprise. I haven't yet been to this stadium, but I am looking forward to this year. This year one of my husbands favorite players isn't with the Rangers but with the Angels this year.

Cactus LeagueCubs are over in Mesa which is only about 15 miles from the home. They are in the process of building a new stadium. I'm not really a Cubs fan except a few pitchers.

White Sox play over in Glendale. You would think that because I work in Glendale I would make it to more games. Nope!! I'm not sure if we really make it over this year. Not really a Cubs fan, except the Iowa Cubs.

One team that I am really excited to see is the Cincinnati Reds. The only bad part is that they play in the Goodyear. We watched 2  of their "rising stars" (Billy and GG) in the Arizona Fall League.

Another team that plays in Goodyear are the Cleveland Indians. I don't hate but I don't like the Indians either. I really doubt that we will make it out that way.

Cactus LeagueOne team that I didn't expect to be out this way is the Royals. I loved going to the Royals when we lived in KC. We went to a few games. Below are a few pictures from the game. My absolute favorite memory is tailgating with Gary. It was the oddest tailgate. We had Subway sandwiches with a few beers and I was seating in the truck of our car. We played catch in the parking lot.

One team my husband is looking forward to is the Angels of Anaheim. Josh Hamilton is one of his favorite players. I love Josh, but my favorite thing about him his I am Second commercial. I think he is a really good role model and he is open about his mistakes.  The Milwaukee Brewers also do Spring Training in Arizona. I am so excited about this because it is my husbands favorite team. I have inherited them since we have been married. It was so amazing to watch them play last summer. I'm excited to watch Braun this year.  The Oakland A's play closest to our house. We went to Phoenix Municipal during the Arizona Fall League. It's probably the oldest stadium out there. The whole time Gary and I just kept mentioning how plain the stadium looks. It was baseball at it's finest. We enjoyed because it didn't have all that entertainment stuff. Not that it is all bad, but sometimes we just want to watch baseball.  San Diego Padres play over in Peoria. This is one that I doubt that I will make it out to this year. Peoria is about an hour away from our house. Seattle Mariners also play over in Peoria. My feeling about the Indians is the same for the Mariners.  World Series Champion San Francisco Giants play in Scottsdale over at Scottsdale Stadium. We went there to see the Scottsdale Scorpions play in the Arizona Fall League. I also went to the see the Championship Game. It's a nice stadium. It's my second favorite stadium, but my only downfall is that the parking sucks.  Cactus League
