Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade Smoothie

Good Evening everyone! Yesterday was such a busy day, after the day was over and I finally got to relax, I didn't feel like blogging. Shame on me, I know, but I didn't want to get up from my chair since I had been standing in the kitchen, baking yummy things. One of the things I made yesterday was a smoothie. About two months ago, my mom came home from a book fair with this smoothie book, it's called Cool Smoothies. It's a great book and has a lot of health things in it, like a chart of what vitamins would go in smoothies and what plants and things you can add to make them healthy or like a juice. Like a healthy smoothie. A couple days ago, my mom said to look through the smoothie book and pick one out. So I did, we went to the store to grab the stuff, and then it got too late to do on Monday, so yesterday, I made the smoothie!Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieThe recipe for the smoothie I wanted to make was pretty simple. Just a few ingredients, you throw it into a blender and then drink it basically. Here is the recipe. I just took a picture of it out of the book:Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieI just threw all the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, into the blender, actually our little magic bullet thing. It's like huge hand held mixer thing and I have never used it, so I wanted to give it a try. You just put it all in there, and then you blend it. Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieOnce you blend it up, it will take on a reddish tint to it. It's from the strawberries. After you blend up all the ingredients, you take the chocolate chips, toss some in, I probably poured more than specified, but recipes are meant to be played around with. You add or take out. Whatever you want.Sometimes.Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieSo, you blend those too and then after everything is blended up, you pour it in a glass, and maybe add some whip cream and extra chocolate chips sprinkled on the whip cream. Adds a cute touch. I took lots of result pictures because I dressed it up so cute! Choco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieChoco-Berry Zest: Homemade SmoothieIt was a very simple, very easy recipe. When I tasted it, it was a little more berry tasting than I wanted. I like chocolate milk shakes, so I was kind of expecting it to be more on the chocolately side, even all the chocolate that was in there was just chocolate yogurt and chocolate chips. I think next time I make a smoothie with chocolate in it, I won't put as much berry stuff in and add a lot of chocolate stuff. Or might just make a simple chocolate shake for you guys. I think I dolled up the mason jar cute. ha.The smoothie was yummy though! It was good.
