Christmas Junk Picture Frame Craft

Posted on the 27 December 2012 by Courtyb34 @CourtyB34
For every holiday, I like to do a little craft. I like to do it, it doesn't always mean I can do it. But this Christmas, I can do it! And it turned out really great! I wanted to make this craft with my five year old cousin, Isabelle, but she didn't want to do it, which is perfectly understandable. So I did it Christmas day!
I made a picture frame out of Christmas junk, such as ribbon, candy canes, snow flake ornaments, beads, and so on.

Christmas Junk Picture Frame Craft I grabbed materials I knew I would use on the picture frame, and started modeling it out how I wanted it to look like. You should always model it out before you glue, so you know exactly how you want it, and what it will look like after wards. Well... if you touch the glue right after you pumped it out the glue gun, it is still really hot, so don't touch it.  Christmas Junk Picture Frame Craft Once everything is secured down, let it dry for five minutes. Hot glue dries really fast. After five minutes, you are done!  But... if you want something a little extra, you aren't done. If you want to hang it on the wall, or on the tree, or even make it stand up, glue either a ribbon, or a cardboard triangle to the back. I chose hanging, so I glued a piece of ribbon to the back to hang somewhere. Christmas Junk Picture Frame Craft Christmas Junk Picture Frame Craft And now you are all done! I hung mine on the tree. I also grabbed a random picture from another frame, ripped an edge off to make it fit.  It turned out really cute! You can even make it after Christmas with left over Christmas stuff that you have laying around the house. Take something that has no value, and make it into something cute, and gift worthy.  I came up with this idea by myself, I didn't get it off of Pinterest. I was really excited about that. I am sure there are crafts like this out there, but this craft is my own idea.  Hope you enjoy!
