Clever Baby Products: BabyDam Bathwater Barrier

Posted on the 18 February 2013 by Mummysspace @mmeeee
With the twins on the way I have started looking around for clever and innovative baby equipment and ideas. One of the things that I found was the BabyDam Bathwater Barrier which seems like the ideal alternative to a baby bath as it can grow with your baby from newborn to toddler stage. The BabyDam saves space, water and is flexible and easy to use.
Clever Baby Products: BabyDam Bathwater Barrier Before we had Ben we went out and bought a baby bath and support like most new parents to be. It turns out we used the baby bath a handful of times before deciding it was easier to just use the support in the family bath especially as I had had a c-section and could not lift the filled baby bath. I believe the BabyDam will make the process of bathing not one, but two newborns, a whole lot quicker and easier while having the added bonus of saving on our water bill as we will be able to section the bath to just the right size. It is also useful for Ben, aged three, who loves his baths and insists on having them all the time. The BabyDam means that I if I am in a rush I can now run a bath a lot quicker while still leaving it big enough for him to have plenty of splash room to play in. It truly is a bath that grows with your child from newborn to toddler stage while also being small and compact to store.

The BabyDam is simple to use and there is an easy to follow set of instructions here on the BabyDam site. The BabyDam is held in place by suction pads and a rubber gasket which creates an effective seal. On each suction pad there is a pull tab platform to ensure that the pads are stuck to the bottom of the bath which keeps it water tight.

The BabyDam is available to purchase online and costs £26.99.
