School Life
You graduate from your high school(of course with lots & lots of hard work,sacrifices ,scoldings from your teachers,parents,etc...etc..) and then you're finally in your college-a dream which you had been seeing ever since you first saw any Bollywood/Hollywood movie focusing on college life... Your parents are telling you how important it is to study and stay focused, but we all know what you are really looking forward to, having a good time after handling so much of pressure(12th. :O )! College is definitely something you have to take serious, after all, your future depends on it, but you also need to have a good time!!Um...College life is totally different from what they show in movies or the televisions( at least in my case it is!!).It has its own "rules & regulations"!!(And alas!! In our case I can only see rules & regulations!! :D ).Making tons of new friends from different backgrounds & states is also a fun.. It makes for some very interesting memories. :)
I've just stepped into this new phase of life(It has hardly been 6-7 months now..) and I've come across some of the phrases (In Hindi) frequently used by students!!!
On being late (Obviously,no genuine reasons!! [;)]) :
“Attendance ho gayi kya??”
“Ek page de na………. abey pen bhi to de, nahi to kisse likhunga…….”
On missing a morning class : ('Missing' most of the times means 'bunking') :
"koi subah kaise aa sakta hai……..” “wo bhi iss class ke liye ”
During the lecture:(On being asked a question) :
“Yesss!!!! Sirrr…….The answer is……..huuuummmmm……..aaaaaaaa………….”.
...................................“No sir…..I know the answer …….sir….”
Lab:(Just 10-15 min before the lab begins):
“Expt. 2 likha??”
“last time tu aaya the kya?”"
“Karna kya hai??”(This is soo amazing na??)
“Yeh bhai…..merko pata hota to tere pass kyon aata……..”
“Areee tu to bura maan gaya …….chal dikha na…..bhau kyo kata
hai….”
Mid Semesters:(On hearing the dates)
MSE's????......... ……Aree yaar…… ”
(On hearing the course)
Kya…….. abe MSE mein itna sara topic hai to final mein kya
hoga….
After MSE's:
“yaar pada tha….recall nahi kar paya…….chhod na ……. Canteenchalega…” SAHI !!

woh NAHI aata hai” ..VERY VERY TRUE !!
