On the Slope...
I love the urban environment when I'm not in my taxi-cab has I get a chance to explore some of the most amazing and bland looking places London has to offer.
Today's bollards happen to be at the entrance to of the lower ground car parks on a council estate (not social housing) just off the Malden Road in the London Borough of Camden. I grew up on a council estate in South London and although they may not look the best of places from the outside my god you had room to live/breath inside your council house/home flat.
Now the bollards (above) are plain looking cylindrical shaped with a concave ridge and ever so slight domed top. If we look at the photograph (below) you'll notice that the bollards are rectangular/cubed shaped and exposed to the elements hence the rusting.
Why are the bollards here ? Well I am of the belief they are simply here to stop a person or persons parking motor vehicles on the pavement/concrete pedestrian area.
You won't park here...
