Dean's Yard SW1...

Dean's Yard SW1...

Welcome to Dean's Yard SW1 which just happens to be part of 'Westminster Abbey' with their very own bollard.
I march/jog around SW1 regularly when in London and happened to take a wrong turn due to pavement works and ended up in Dean's Yard where I found Westminster Abbey bollards.
The design of bollard is a Westminster bog standard however placed roughly in the middle of the bollard we can see part of the coat of arms of the Abbey which happens to be a gold cross on a blue background surrounded by five martlets (birds that never land). Right in the heart of London I'm still coming across different bollards/designs.

The #guestbollard today is one of mine which is a rather dumpy looking cannon ball type/top finish which I came across by pure chance earlier today just off Strand/Craven Street SW1.
