Sometimes you put my patience to the test. You submerge your entire snout and soak it to your drinking water… For a reason only you would understand. And if that leaves you unsatisfied… You dip your front paws and splatter water all over the place.
And when I’m off to get the mop to clean up your mess… You would run after me… Perhaps thinking that I’m inviting you to play a game of tug of war… And then you clench the mop with your teeth… Pulling it with all your might… And I struggle to pull it back… My strength against your strength… Until I succeed in winning the game… (Like how I always do lol) And then I finally am able to wipe the water on the floor.
But… Those angel eyes that stare into mine… That expression of innocence on your face… The touching tail wag out of sheer joy… And the sweetest puppy lick on my face… (After biting the mop lol)…
They’re enough to turn all the trouble around… Because I won’t trade that love for anything else… That unsolicited love you so freely give me everyday. I love you so much. You and Dave are my angels. Truly heaven sent.
