Detox and Nature Nerd

A nerd is someone that obsesses over a certain subject or hobbie. I have many hobbies and interests that I obsess over. One of the many interests I have is detoxing and natural things. I am, therefore, a detox and nature nerd. Over the past month and a half, I have been doing different detoxes. Mostly just simple lemon water, sometimes lemon cucumber water. That's mainly it, but today I broadened my detox menu with a basil-lemon water. It's really easy to make and it's tolerable. I'm not going to write it in recipe form, like I usually do. I will just explain it. First you need a tea pot that you can brew loose tea leaves in, or a tea ball. Scoop about a tablespoon of basil in the tea ball or the strainer catcher in the tea pot. Pour hot water in the tea pot and let sit until it gets to the strength you want it at. The stronger the better for me. Then use half a lemon, squeeze it in a cup or a pitcher, wherever you will keep your basil tea. When the basil tea is done brewing, pour it in the pitcher or cup and you don't need to stir it. You can drink it like a tea, or chill it. I prefer it chilled, so I put it in the freezer to chill it faster. It's pretty good. You can add raw honey to it if you want to make it sweeter, but basil is pretty sweet already, so it tastes perfectly fine, and I think the lemon adds to it.
Today was a full day of detoxing, and it's not over yet. I attempted to drink coconut water a few months back, during my trip to the Grand Canyon, and I couldn't stand the coconut water. I am going to try it again. I really want to benefit from it. If I can't handle it on it's own, I will get some cranberry juice and add the coconut water to the cranberry juice.
It's wonderful what water can do for you. I have been lacking on it this past week, and I have really only had 2 to 3 water bottles per day. I had a busy week last week. This week, and following, I am going to keep up my 4 to 5 water bottles per day. I think it will be easier especially since I got this new Waterlogged app. I can set my own goal for water, I can set how much water I drink a day, and match that in ML. It's pretty great! Today, I have consumed an equivilent to 3 CAMELBAK water bottles today. That is about 2,250 ML, a tiny bit more most likely.
Anyway, I'm sorry this post seems a little unprofessional, or lacks the pizazz that it usually does. I am typing and posting mobily. Typing on the computer is easier, but a lot more time consuming. With mobile blogger, I can do it right here and now. I try to organize myself on blogger mobile, but with the distraction of family, and pandora, It's hard for me to pull my thoughts together in an organized form. I really only use the computer if I have a lot of pictures to post on a post, or if I have a bunch of posts I need to catch up on.
I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while, I will try and be better about that. I have some great blog post ideas that will be posted soon. I sometimes get in this blog idea "lull" where I can't think of anything to blog... And then I somehow get one blog post idea and then they all flood to me. It's great for those long "lulls".
The picture is the collage of the basil tea made in the little tea pot. I think the little tea pot is adorable. The other picture is of Zico coconut water, which I will down tonight. Hopefully, I won't gag on it. :) wish me luck!
