I blogged about Dresslink before. Three weeks ago, I finally received the stuff that I ordered from them.
Classic Soft Tassels Ankle Boots, $8.08 Cool Outerwear PU Leather Coat Jacket, $9.50
I got pieces that I knew I'm going to use often and are not easily available locally, especially in this small city I live in..
First off is this faux leather jacket. I've always wanted to get one. But the ones I see in stores are really pricey. I never owned one before so I wasn't ready to invest on something that I might not use a lot after all.
So when I saw this one sold at Dresslink for a really affordable price, I didn't hesitate.
I'm glad to say that even if it's sold for a cheap price, it does not feel cheap. It didn't had any loose threads and is comfortable. I've been wearing it a lot lately as the weather's been really cold(typhoon season here in the Philippines) and my usual cardigan isn't helping much especially when watching movies.
I'm not sure yet how durable this jacket is as it's just faux leather and not real leather. I hope it can last for a few years though as leather jacket never really goes out if style.
Next are these tassel boots. In their website, it looked soft and light, so I figured I can still wear it even during the summer when the climate is much warmer. And although wearing boots has been generally acceptable in my city now, I still haven't seen any tassel boots sold in our local mall so I grabbed the opportunity and ordered this one.
I already wore this pair here. The material is soft but is a little bit stiff. I only wear this when I go to the mall or somewhere indoors like a restaurant. I don't think I'll ever wear this outdoors or even think about getting them wet. In this rainy season, I try to avoid wearing them when I have to commute. Although the pictures above were taken after I've used these shoes four times already, and I think they still look pretty neat so I guess I'm just being paranoid.
My shoe size is 71/2 so I normally go with size 8 for closed shoes whenever half-sizes aren't available. Yet despite the fact that I ordered an 8, these shoes were even a little bit tight(but not too tight) for me so I guess the website carries small sizes. They actually have a fitting system there which I didn't bother to look at(my bad).
So here's how I wore these two when I had dinner with my parents last Sunday.
This maxi dress is a pain. It's originally my sister's. She bought it during one of her shopping sprees in Thailand, the kind where she just picks clothes without trying them on. So this ended up being too small for her. I kinda like the print but because I only own colorful cardigans, none of them is a good match for this dress.
This jacket on the other hand, feels just right.
Check out Dresslink and you'll be surprised at the variety of stuff their selling as well as the prices.
Last time I checked, they added a new feature in their site called the Dresslink Free Shipping Channel where they listed items that you can purchase without having to pay for shipping. I don't know about you but I think I'll do my Christmas shopping there. It's the perfect place to buy lots and lots of gifts for relatives and friends.
Thanks for reading!
and oh,
hype please?
