Here we go again with another lipstick review! Yay! I noticed that I have a lot of red lipsticks in my stash. I’m thinking of a comparison post soon. Let me know if you like one! I fell in love with mineral makeups when I was in college so this one is a great newbie in my makeups.
ELF Mineral Lipstick in Cheerful Cherry – P350.00 (approx. $8)
As you can see the color is nice red cherry. I remember my favorite cherry photos when I was a kid. The lippie is long enough to last you for months. However it smells a bit like crayon to me. I love smelling lipsticks most especially those with good scents and make me wanna eat them.
I love the packaging of this bullet. The box is plain white and you can see the shade on the top border of it. The name of the shade with the color of the lipstick as background can be found on the side of the box. The lipstick itself is not heavy and I’m thankful that it’s smooth but definitely not a dust magnet. The logo on top of the tube reminds me a bit of Chanel.
I noticed that it has tiny shimmers all over. There are gold specks which makes it look shiny upon application.

It’s super pigmented. Swatches above are 1x, 2x, 3x swipes respectively. Building the color is super easy and the product glides well on the lips.
Lip swatch
I didn’t use any lip liner or balm so you can see how it really looks like on the lips. You can make it more opaque by using red lip liner underneath. It also helps to avoid the lipstick feathering out and you looking like Hith Ledger as Joker (The Dark Night) *laughs*

OVERALL
That missing kissmark (point) goes for the cons. If it wasn’t for that, I can give this perfect five kisses. My main concern when it comes to lipsticks is not being too drying as I have dry lips already. Sometimes, even if I use lip balm or lip moisturizer prior to lipstick, it still gets dry most especially with matte ones. It’s like walking on a desert. However, with this lipstick, I didn’t experience that at all. Even after 5 hours, my lips are still not dry but moistened. It won’t leave you looking pale when it fades as it tints your lips.
