I love family dinners. Every Friday we would meet up and catch up with a week's worth of gossip, news and etc.  Usually over home cooked meals or take aways or sitting in a huge round table at the restaurant.

I love family dinners.  It is the time where we laugh, we cry, we argue and we love.  Everyone seems to just forget about the week that has gone by and talk about what we look forward  to doing over the weekend. When we argue, we argue like siblings all over the world.  It's us against them or we against the world.  After every thing that has been said and done, we apologise, we seek forgiveness and we love.  We are always honest.

As the last piece of dessert has been eaten, the last drop of tea/wine has been drunk, we sit down on the couch and discuss about the important things in life.  We speak of our hopes and we speak of our dreams.  We encourage each other to take the plunge or we stop one another from doing something stupid.

This is my family.  This is what we do every Friday.  Even though some may not be related to me by blood, at the end of the day, we are still one.  My favorite author, Sherrilyn Kenyon, once wrote, "There are three types of Family.  One we are born to. Those who are born to us and those we let into our hears"  these guys are definitely close to mine.  I would take a bullet for each and everyone of them.
