Assembly
Assembly took approximately twenty minutes. At first glance there may seem to be lots of pieces but the instructions are well written and easy to follow. The only part my husband found a bit fiddly was hanging the chair on the frame.Once assembled the swing is clearly really great quality, being sturdy and comfortable for baby. The seat itself is quite large and is made of great quality, machine washable material which is a massive bonus for anything which is used by little ones in my opinion. It has a 3-point harness which makes it quick and easy to clip and un-clip baby in while keeping them safe. The swing has easy-release seat handles, a kickstand which locks out for feeding in infant seat stage and convenient open top access for getting baby in and out easily. It can be used in swing mode from birth-25 lbs and rocker mode up to 40 lbs. It requires four D batteries (not included) which seem to be lasting really well so far for us and it does get a lot of use.
3 stages
Twin testing time
Now for the important part, what did the twins make of it? Well it is safe to say it was an instant hit. I popped Zachary in first and he soon was smiling happily enjoying the gentle forward and back motion. It really is lovely to see them happily swinging away taking in everything around them and they are also quite taken with the bright colourful birds that hang on the removable bar and often reach out to grab them. The twins enjoying the Fisher Price 3-in-1 Swing 'n Rocker
The swing is easy to operate with a choice of two speeds and the option to switch on the five tunes with two volume levels to choose from or turn it off completely. You can also lift off the chair off and bring it with you from room to room if required which is a nice option especially in this lovely warm weather if you fancied bringing baby outdoors in it.
L: Volume and Swing controls; R: Easy release seat
As the seat is large if you have a small newborn like Zoey you may want to add extra support using a rolled up blanket or towel until your baby gets a bit bigger and stronger. If there was one thing I would do to improve this product, it would be to include a newborn insert but this certainly wouldn't stop me from buying it, especially as this product lasts well beyond newborn stage.
The Fisher Price 3-in-1 Swing 'n Rocker gets a massive thumbs up from me, I had heard a lot of parents swear by baby swings in the past and now I know why - this is one item which definitely makes my top baby products list. I love it and the babies do too!
The Fisher Price 3-in-1 Swing 'n Rocker is available to purchase from a number of retailers including Mothercare and Argos costing approximately £110.00 GPB.
