I have combination to oily skin which means I have oily T-zone and dry skin on my cheeks and C-zone. It’s not practical to have a lot of skincare products to be used separately on those areas that’s why I always look for skincare that’s good for combination to oily skin. Yves Rocher has these custom-made skin care products, they have specific skincare lines to match what your skin needs and your skin type. I’ve reviewed befoer their Hydra-Vegetal Skincare line which is for Dry to Normal Skin. Now I’ve tried Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal line which is intended for people with combination to oily skin. I’ve used it for more than a month and I love it! Continue reading to know why.
Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal
Here are the basic skincare products that you need for a 3-step-skincare routine, Cleanse-Tone-Moisturize. This combination to oily skin innovation by Yves Rocher aims to provide the secret to fresh, shine-free, and perfect skin through Baikal powder. It is the main and active ingredient of this line that helps purify the skin. It’s a botanical ingredient extracted from Scutellaria root, used for its powerful rebalancing properties.
First step is Cleanse. The Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Purifying Cleansing Gel (P495/150ml) perfectly cleanse the skin. It’s in gel form which makes it easier to use and lather on the face. It smells like sweet, fresh leaves that I believe, also helps calming your senses. It gets rid of impurities deep down the pores without drying out the skin. My skin feels so clean but moisturized. It’s not the squeaky clean, clean. Some people prefer that but believe me, it feels better that your skin feels hydrated even after washing. It frees the skin from sebum. This tube can last for about 2-3 months. I love the simple and clear packaging of the products which makes it easier to detect if you’re already running out of product.
Second step is Tone. I’m not really into toners before because I hate toners that sting my skin. The Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Purifying Micellar Water 2-in1 (P495.00/200ml) never stings my skin. It feels really gentle and thoroughly hydrates the skin. It’s a micellar water which means it traps out and removes dirt and makeup from the skin. It helps eliminates excess sebum and impurities. It tones and removes makeup, that’s why it’s 2-in-1. A friend of mine who is also a makeup artist loves to use this on her clients. I’m planning to buy another bottle for my clients soon, for my clients as well.
Next is Hydrate and Mattify. I first apply the serum followed by the cream. I so love the Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Pore Minimizing Serum (P1,195.00/30ml). There’s a noticeable difference with my pores, they are now smaller which I believe is why I’m not as oily as before. This serum unclogs and minimizes pores. It also absorbs excess sebum. After using the whole line, my face is a great canvass for makeup application. My pores are less visible and hydrated. I also love the sturdy glass pump bottle. Two full pumps are enough to lather to your whole face including neck. It smells a little stronger than the cleanser and toner.
After the serum, I use the Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Zero Blemish Gel Cream (P795.00/50ml). It’s in a glass jar without sifter so it’s necessary to make sure you have clean hands before using the product to avoid contamination. It’s in “gel cream” form which means it doesn’t make you look and feel greasy at all. It gets absorbed by the skin very quickly and gives a fresh feeling. It’s not the minty kind of thing but the it’s the feeling when you’ve just stepped out from the shower, that kind of freshness. It absorbs sebum, minimizes pores, keeps the skin hydrated for 24 hours, and smoothes imperfection.
Then I’ll just apply a sunblock before moving on to my makeup ritual. Even if I apply 4 skincare products on my face, make it 5 with sunblock, I can feel that my skin still can breathe and looks fresh. Normally before I get to try these products, my T-zone starts to produce oil within an hour or two but when I started using these products, I rarely retouch my makeup. When needed, I blot my T-zone after 4 hours or so because even if my skin is a bit oily after a few hours, it’s not the greasy-look kind of oily skin, it’s more on the dewy look or healthy looking skin.
I highly recommend this skincare line from Yves Rocher to you guys especially if we have the same skin condition, combi-oily. Aside from these 4, if you want to complete the whole line, you can also try their Purifying Scrub, Purity Mask, and Mattifying Cream Gel. The Mattifying Cream Gel promises a matte complexion all day long without touch ups, so I’m planning to purchase that one maybe next month.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and your thoughts about it or if you have tried any of the Yves Rocher skincare line. They currently have 4. Pure System (Blemish-prone), Sebo Vegetal (combination to oily , Hydra Vegetal (Normal to Dry), and Active Sensitive (sensitive skin).
