It was quite late in the night at Bengaluru airport. Though the hotel cab was there to receive me at the airport I was not quite hopeful of getting a meal or for that sake any snacks by the time I reach The Taj Gateway Hotel, Residency Road. I was hungry because during the day I was quite busy in meetings. Hence, could not grab a proper meal during the day. On top of that the burger I had during the flight was not tasty and therefore I had to leave it as it is. Coffee was the only thing that was my companion during the journey from Delhi to Bengaluru. On top of that, the flight was late by 1.5 hours. That was the key reason of my diminishing hopes of getting a proper meal at the hotel when I reach there.
The Taj Gateway Hotel is a business class hotel on Residency Road, Bengaluru. It belongs to Taj Group of Hotels. That is one of the prime reason that I always trust this hotel whenever I visit the city. Another prominent reason for staying here is that it is quite close to the IT Hub. In fact, this five-star property lies within the heart of the city. By the time I was in the lobby, it was almost midnight.
Fortunately, the chef was approaching the front desk area just to check in case if there are any check-ins at that time. I was about to start filling my form when the front desk guy asked if I would like to grab some bites. That was almost an angelic line to me. The form was put on hold and we rushed to the Northern Gate Restaurant that is right on the left of the front desk.
Gateway Hotel
A proper & complete dinner gave me enough strength to work for two hours before sleep. The food was quite sumptuous. By the time I finished my dinner, it was almost 12.50 am.
My next day at The Taj Gateway Hotel was quite relaxing till the afternoon. After lunch, I had a couple of important meetings. The room was more than a comfort to me. After a sound sleep and a good shower, I went for my buffet breakfast. I was in the city for 3 days to cover an exhibition and some important meetings. Overall, my stay at The Taj Gateway Hotel Residency Road Bengaluru was fabulous. In fact, this time, with this wonderful experience, it has become my best choice in Bengaluru.
